Serves 16 |
A simple yet utterly satisfying side dish.
|10 oz lean ground beef |
|1 egg |
|1 tablespoon granulated sugar |
|1 tablespoon cornstarch |
|1 tablespoon sodium soy sauce |
|1 tablespoon hoisin sauce |
|1 package frozen chopped spinach, 10 oz |
|1/4 cup chopped green onions |
|16 egg roll wrappers |
| For the Sauce: |
|1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce |
|2 teaspoons chopped green onion |
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except egg roll wrappers. Mix well. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Spoon filling evenly into center of each egg roll wrapper. Brush corners with water; press corners together to seal.
- In a large pot, bring 2 quarts of water to a boil over high heat. Add wontons. Cook, stirring occasionally, until wontons surface, about 10 minutes.
- Mean while prepare sauce by combining soy sauce and onion into dipping bowl. Place wontons on individual serving plates and serve immediately.
