Italian Sausage Pasta Salad

A yummy twist to the classic salad.
Serves 6 | 


6 links mild Italian sausage
24 oz uncooked pasta shells
12 cherry tomatoes, halved
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 can black olives, 8 oz.
1 green bell pepper, sliced in 1/4-inch strips
1 red onion, peeled and thinly sliced
1 cup Caesar salad dressing
1/2 cup water
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste


  1. Heat olive oil in a saute pan on medium-high. Add sausage links. Cook for about 10 minutes, browning all sides. Reduce heat to medium and add water; cover and cook for 15-18 minutes.
  2. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, rinse with water and allow to cool.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine sausage, pasta, green pepper, red onion, tomatoes and olives. Toss with salad dressing. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cover and chill at least 2 hours before serving.
