Homemade Hot Chocolate
Why go to the store when you can make it at home?
Serves 4 |
|4 cups whole milk |
|8 oz. 60% cacao, finely chopped into small pieces |
|1 tablespoon powdered sugar |
|1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
|1/8 teaspoon salt |
- Bring milk to a simmer in a small, thick pot that is set over low heat. While milk is coming to a simmer, stir occasionally to keep milk from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
- Add cacao, powdered sugar, vanilla and salt to pan; whisk continuously until cacao has melted.
- Heat and whisk for an additional 4 minutes.
